Location information

Haelen is in Limburg province, nearly 8 kilometres northwest of Roermond, on the road from Venlo to Maaseik in Belgium. Buggenum, a small village administered by Haelen, is about 2 kilometres to the west; the churchyard is in the centre of the village. In its north-east corner is the joint grave of 2 British soldiers, marked by a private memorial.
