History information
Pandu Dutch Field of Honour lies on a slope with a flag monument at its highest point. Around the monument are commemorative plaques bearing the names of Dutch casualties killed defending the Tjiater and Soebang positions, which were the last lines of defence before Bandung in 1942. The cemetery contains 1 Commonwealth war grave of the 1939-1945 war. In addition, the remains of Dutch civilians previously buried at Muntok on Bangka Island were re-interred here in a collective grave during the early 1960s.
