History information
This cemetery, belonging to the Padstow Joint Burial Committee, was made in 1881. It contains 6 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war. There are a further 6 burials of the 1939-45 war. In addition there are 3 unidentified Belgian merchant seamen whoses remains were recovered from the vessel "Marie Fleur" which was hit by a high explosive bomb in May 1941, the vessel was brought into Cove Harbour, still on fire.
