Location information
Regensburg is a large town in South East Germany approx 125km North East of München (Munich). From the A93 München to Regensburg motorway take exit 43 (Ausfahrt 43) REGENSBURG-KUMPFMÜHL and follow direction KUMPFMÜHL. After approx 1.3kms turn left onto AUSBURGER STRAßE, continue for approx 700m and turn right onto HOFGARTENWEG. Continue for approx 300m then the road changes name to BISCHOF-KONRAD- STRAßE. The main entrance to the civilian cemetery can be found after approx 300m on the right. The CWGC graves (private memorials) are located by turning immediate left inside the entrance and then continue approx 200m to the end of the cemetery. History information
Among the many military and civilian graves in the second section are thought to be buried nationals of fifteen European countries. Among them are the graves of five Commonwealth prisoners of war who died in captivity in the last months of the Second World War. They are buried alongside German war dead in row 9, the penultimate row to the left of the entrance. The grave numbering begins from the end of the row closer to the entrance.
