Situated in Ross Bay Cemetery in the City of Victoria on Vancouver Island, the Victoria Memorial is a square block of granite erected in front of the Cross of Sacrifice in the War Graves Plot.
History information
The memorial commemorates the names of 36 officers and men who were lost when the H.M.C.S. Galiano was lost in a storm, north of Vancouver Island, on 30 October 1918.
