Location information
Mount Hertzel (or Herzl) is one of the great hills of Jerusalem on the southern side of the city. The National Military Cemetery is located on the northern slope of the hill, within a large park which also contains a museum. The park is reached via Herzl Boulevard, which runs off Ruppin Road. It is the focal point of commemorative proceedings relating to the State of Israel and consequently, a very well known area.

The three Commonwealth burials are in the top right section among a group of seven headstones. The other four are memorial headstones and contain no burials.
