History information

During both wars, there were extensive army barracks in Canterbury, which included the regimental depot of The Buffs.

The 146 First World War burials in Canterbury Cemetery are scattered in various parts of the cemetery grounds. Of the 54 Second World War graves, 28 form a small group in Plot XM and the rest are scattered.
