Location information
Pecq Communal Cemetery is located 10 kilometres north of Tournai on the N 50, Rue De Courtrai, a road connecting Tournai to Kortrijk (Courtrai). The N50 passes directly through the village of Pecq. The cemetery is located 800 metres from the village square on the right hand side of the road, when travelling towards Kortrijk.
Visiting information
The graves are to be found in Row F, Graves 2 and 3. Visitors should note that this site is restricted to normal cemetery opening hours. Wheelchair access possible via main entrance. History information
The British Expeditionary Force was involved in the later stages of the defence of Belgium following the German invasion in May 1940, and suffered many casualties in covering the withdrawal to Dunkirk. Pecq Communal Cemetery contains 19 burials of the Second World War, two of them unidentified. There are also two First World War burials.
