Location information

Beira Muslim Cemetery adjoins the west side of the Beira Christian Cemetery (the Cemetery of Santa Izabel). It is located 1 kilometre north of the railway station on Avenue Samora Marcher, close to the large 'Shoprite' shopping complex. The Muslim section runs the length of the left side of the cemetery, separated from the Christian section by a low stone wall surmounted by 3 rows of parallel railings. The 5 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war are marked by 'buried near this spot' special memorials in slate, which stand together in line immediately behind the dividing wall towards the rear of the cemetery.

Beira Muslim Cemetery is open every day between 06:00 and 18:00. The location or design of this site, makes wheelchair access impossible.
