CWGC Cemeteries of the Asiago Plateau As part of the European Heritage Days, the new “Commonwealth War Cemeteries Trail Run” will have its first edition on Sunday 28th September 2025. A sporting event that combines a passion for mountain running with the duty of historical remembrance, the courses will wind along the southern slopes of the Asiago Plateau, in the north east of Italy, crossing the five Commonwealth war cemeteries of Barenthal, Boscon, Cavalletto, Granezza and Magnaboschi. These sacred sites, set in a landscape of extraordinary beauty, tell the story of the sacrifice of thousands of young soldiers who fell during the Great War. More info on the trail run: https://www.trailrunningaltopiano7c.com/en/sporting-events/commonwealth-war-cemeteries-trail-run/ The cemeteries will be open also for visitors who will not participate to the Commonwealth War Cemeteries Trail Run. |
